Mrs. Rookie Gross, Camp Director
Mrs. Rookie Gross has been a leader in Torah day camps for over 20 years, both in Connecticut and New Jersey. Mrs. Gross opened Camp Acheinu in 2013 and Chasdei Hashem has watched its success and growth ever since. Previously, Mrs.Gross worked as a beloved 1st grade teacher for over 15 years, most recently in RYNJ and YBH. Mrs. Gross is passionate about providing an outstanding camp experience in a Torah-dik environment and is grateful to the parents and staff who make this a reality every summer.
Mrs. Rachel Burg, Head Counselor
Mrs. Rachel Burg has been involved in formal and informal Jewish education for close to three decades in schools, camps, as well as in outreach positions. Mrs Burg taught first grade at RYNJ for sixteen years, served as head counselor and camp mother at Camp Dina, and has been involved in NCSY, Aish HaTorah, the OU and Project Inspire. Mrs. Burg is a true model who exemplifies the values of our camp. With a vision for an exceptional girls' day camp where girls can thrive spiritually and physically, Mrs. Burg is looking forward to bringing this dream to life.
Mrs. Rachel Stavsky, Program Director
Rachel Stavsky, warmly known as "Morah Rachel," will be joining as Program Director. Rachel's warmth and affection is contagious, making her beloved by all. She is looking forward to creating a personal connection with each child and their parents. Rachel has over a decade of childhood education experience, both as the lead nursery teacher at Yeshiva Ketana of Manhattan and as the Head Counselor of Camp Topeinu in Manhattan. When she is not teaching you can find Rachel in Highland Park New Jersey where she lives with her husband and two children. Rachel is looking forward to getting to know your children and creating a memorable summer!
Mrs. Ahuva Pomerantz, Office Manager
Mrs. Ahuva Pomerantz has been working in Camp Acheinu since 2015 and serves as our Office Manager. Mrs. Pomerantz has been working in the business management and bookkeeping profession for over 31 years. Mrs. Pomerantz loves to help people and really enjoys working with camp.
