FAQ's

  • Camp Ashreinu is for girls entering 1st through 6th grade.

  • Camp Ashreinu is held at the beautiful, newly renovated Maayanot High School at 1650 Palisade Ave, Teaneck, NJ. Situated on a private cul-de-sac, the campus offers privacy and plenty of outdoor space, with convenient access to Queen Anne Road, stores, restaurants, and Rt. 4.

  • As a sister camp to Camp Acheinu, Camp Ashreinu carries the same hashkafos, warmth, and commitment to excellence. Our goal is to provide a wholesome, fun, tzanua environment where girls can grow spiritually, socially, and emotionally. With a thoughtful balance of group and bunk activities, we nurture each girl’s unique strengths, inspire confidence, and help her thrive.

  • Each day is full of engaging activities, including chinuch/learning, sports, arts, drama, swimming, team-building, and dance. Programming combines ruach, skill-building, athletics, achdus, and fun. Highlights include daily swim, camp-wide productions, innovative activities, and exciting trips.

  • We welcome wholesome girls from Torah-oriented homes. Enrollment is limited to maintain a warm, intimate environment and build meaningful connections with each camper.

  • Create an account on CampSite via our website, ashreinudaycamp.com. Acheinu parents may use their existing login. After submitting your application, you’ll receive a confirmation email. We contact a Morah, teacher, or principal before acceptance, so accurate information is essential.

  • To secure your daughter’s spot, submit a $400 non-refundable deposit via Zelle, credit card, or check. Full tuition is due by May 1st. Balances and forms can be managed through your Parent Dashboard.

  • Camp Ashreinu encourages girls to enjoy active, fun programming while following tznius guidelines that promote modesty, respect, and comfort.

    • Skirts must cover the knees

    • 1st–2nd grade: short sleeves allowed

    • 3rd–5th grade: sleeves below the elbow

    • Sneakers for safety

    • Cover-up or swim dress must be worn to and from the pool

  • Yes. Camp Ashreinu is nut-free, including peanuts and tree nuts. Please avoid sending any food labeled “may contain nuts.

  • Trips enhance the summer experience with fun, safe adventures. Past trips have included trampoline parks, roller skating, boating, and amusement parks.

  • Campers’ safety is our top priority. The Maayanot campus is fully enclosed and secured by an armed guard. Visitors require a pass to enter the facility. Head Staff members are trained in advanced CPR and First Aid and will be available for any health concerns or minor injuries. In case of a real emergency, we will call Hatzala or 911.

  • Mrs. Rookie Gross, Camp Director: With over twenty years of experience leading Torah day camps, Mrs. Gross founded Camp Acheinu and Camp Ashreinu, creating warm, Torah-dik environments where every camper can thrive.
     

    Mrs. Rachel Burg, Head Counselor: With nearly three decades in Jewish education, Mrs. Burg brings experience, vision, and care to help girls grow spiritually, socially, and physically.
     

    Mrs. Rachel Stavsky, Program Director: Known as “Morah Rachel,” she brings warmth, experience, and enthusiasm, connecting with each camper and creating a joyful summer.

  • We hire kind, thoughtful, high school girls as counselors and junior counselors. Staff reflect Camp Ashreinu’s values and are dedicated to creating a memorable summer.

  • Yes. Bussing is available from Fairlawn, Bergenfield, Teaneck, Passaic, Clifton, UWS, Riverdale, and Washington Heights at an additional cost. Bus registration opens some time in the winter.  An email will be sent to parents of enrolled campers with details and instructions.

  • Yes. Hot lunch is available at an additional cost, or you may send a bagged lunch. Lunch is provided by Kosher Experience and EJs Pizza once a week. You can register for lunches through your Parent Dashboard. Menu will be posted on the Parent Dashboard and the camp website before camp begins. Instructions regarding snacks and water bottles will be discussed in the Parent Handbook which will be emailed to the parents prior to the first day of camp.

  •  All campers must submit:

    • Updated Immunization Records

    • Universal Child Health Record

    • Camp Waiver Form

    • Camper Health Profile
       

    Additional forms (if applicable):

    • Allergy Action Plan

    • Medication Authorization Form
